Dr. Nolido
Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Nathaly Nolido completed her undergraduate degree in Human Anatomy and Physiology and a minor in Psychology from Boston University Sargent College. She pursued her interest in the dental arts at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1999. After earning her dental degree, she continued to further her dental education and in 2000 completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and the Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell in New York. During her tenure in the program, she became certified in the Branemark Dental Implant System, served as a clinical instructor and was a team member on the Temporomandibular Joint Disorders team. This opportunity enhanced her the skills and insight to help patients with TMD.
Relocating to New Jersey, Dr. Nolido continued her studies and completed a General Practice Program at Lyons Veteran Affairs of New Jersey. This experience at the VA focused on caring for medically complex patients. With an interest in cosmetic dentistry, she also practiced in New York during this time. After completion of her VA Program she went to private practice. In 2004, she established Miles of Smiles Family Dentistry with a vision of providing gentle and caring dentistry. With her insight of knowing the art and science of dentistry and her enjoyment of cosmetic dentistry, she looks forward to getting to know each patient and helping them achieve dental health.
Dr. Nolido continues to take post graduate courses on the most current dental technology and techniques, ensuring her ability to offer optimal dental care.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Middlesex County Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry and obtained dental licensure in New Jersey, Massachusetts and New York.
On a personal note, Dr. Nolido is a devoted wife and mother to her three children. She and her family enjoy an active and health conscious lifestyle. On weekends, they enjoy family time either cycling , hiking, nature walking or at the beach. Dr. Nolido also enjoys cooking, baking and Taekwondo.
Dr. Nolido is a recipient of the New Jersey Top Dentist award in the Healthy Living Magazine publication! She was also voted “Leading Physician of the World and Top Dentist” in the 2015 Edition of the Leading Physicians of the World publication!
Dr. Montalban
Prior to her dental career, Dr. Gloria Montalban attended St. Peter’s College in Jersey City and graduated summa cum laude in 1992 with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She was also a published contributor to several articles in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology.
Dr. Montalban then pursued her dental education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Dental School (now Rutgers Dental School) in Newark, NJ. There her academic and clinical achievements earned her an induction into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She graduated in 1997. She continued her education as a general practice resident at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
Since her residency Dr. Montalban has been engaged in a career of general, family and cosmetic dentistry as an associate in several private practices throughout the state of New Jersey before joining Miles of Smiles in 2011. Her commitment to education in her field leads her to take continuing education courses that keep her current with the ever progressive technology of dentistry. Her greatest commitment in dentistry is to be able to work with her patients through quality dentistry to provide them with the healthiest smiles possible in a “no fear” atmosphere. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, the Middlesex County Dental Society and the American Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Montalban has two children and enjoys hobbies outside of dentistry, her family, boot camp and mud runs.
Dr.Montalban received the award for “Leading Physician of the World & Top Dentist in the State of New Jersey” in the 2015 Edition of the Leading Physicians of the World publication!
Vania, RDH
Vania began her dental career as a dental assistant in high school. Having developed a love for the dental field she entered the Dental Hygiene Program at Hostos Community College, Bronx NY where she received an Associate in Applied Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in 2000. Vania is licensed to practice dental hygiene in New York and New Jersey.
In 2005, Vania joined Miles of Smiles where she used her experience and knowledge to help establish the Hygiene program for the office.In 2008, Vania was among the first class in NJ to receive her certificate to Administer local Anesthesia from Rutgers School of Health Related Professions.
Vania is married and is the mother of two active boys. In her spare time from being a swim mom, she is an avid reader.
Cathy, RDH
Cathy originally started with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Widener University. Life circumstances led her to employment as a dental assistant. Her interest in the field expanded and led her to enter the Dental Hygiene Program at Middlesex County College. There she earned the distinction of Valedictorian of her class when she graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2010. She is a member of the Central New Jersey Dental Hygiene Study Club where she continues to further her education in the field. In addition to Miles of Smiles, Cathy regularly practices dental hygiene in Carteret and Matawan, NJ. She was awarded her Local Anesthesia permit in NJ in 2011. She is licensed to practice dental hygiene in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
When she is not working she spends time with her son who is very active in soccer. She enjoys the outdoors and home improvement projects.
